Census - A pun on 'senses'.

Armor - Just a goof on 'armordillo'.

Bone - A pun based on the French phrase 'bon apetit', which means good eating (more or less).

Weevils - A play on "the lesser of two evils".

Stair - A pun on "Stair Master", which is a popular exercise machine.

Hyde - A play on the story "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde".

Acronym - Companies don't always think their names through!

Swingers - The phrase generally refers to groups of adults that get together for orgies or whatever.

Standing - A re-interperetation of the phrase.

Birds - Breasts are sometimes referred to as 'hooters' for some reason. As are owls.

Butte - A play on licker. And the posterior sort of 'butt', too...

Block - Usually these are figurative rather than literal!

Lamb - A play on 'land mine'.

Dog - A bird dog generally fetches birds which a hunter has shot.

Foot - A pun on 'foot prints'.

Abs - A play on 'Abominable Snowman', which was the western term for the Yeti a number of years ago.

Pun - A play on 'best'.

Drunk - A pun based on the popular doughnut shop chain called "Dunkin' Donuts".

Gravity - A play on 'anti-gravity'.

Dressing - A play on another term for "turkey stuffing".

Whipped - A play on 'pistol whipped'.

Sleeve - Not a pun this time, more of an over-literalization.

Fortunate - A play on 'genes'.

Mountain - A pun on 'mountaineers'.

Chilly - A play on words between 'chili' and 'chilly'.

Eye - A pun on "eye".

Duck - A play on the song "Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay" by Otis Redding.

Wrong - If you're having a bad day, it is frequently said that you woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Buy - A pun on bi-sexual.

Down - It's usually used as a polite euphemism for "fired" or "laid-off" from your job.

Bent - Usually just a figure of speech. I over-literalized it.

Beef - A double meaning 'toon. 'Beef' somtimes is used to refer to a complaint.

Pleasant - A play on 'pleasantries'.

Bum - The term usually refers to someone who loafs about on the beach without doing anything constructive.

Idol - A pun on the title of the cartoon. And a very popular TV show....

Engines - A play on words for "Indians". American 'Indians' were forced onto rescource poor reservations by
             early U.S. settlers. Not a proud moment in our history.

Ham - A play on 'hand'.

News - A pun on 'impotent'.

Manly - No puns or plays on words this time. More of a social observation...

Recede - A straight-up pun on the title word.

Barefoot - A pun on bare to bear.

Mug - A pun on "mug", which is sometimes used to refer to a person's face. As in 'mug shot'.

TryMe - No pun this time. Just a piranha talking to a cat...

Chess - A straight forward play on 'chest' for the most part...

Tricks - A dachshund is often referred to as a 'wiener dog' because of its resemblance to a hot dog.

Jackass - Sort of a play on words based on the question at the top of the page.

Sleep - Fork being transposed for another word that begins with 'f'.

Paid - A pun on 'weekly'. And in many cases, a very true observation.

Shark - The term usually refers to an expert billiards player who plays for money. A hustler.

Sweat - Playing on 'aspiration'.

Potty - A pun on 'party'. Potty being slang for a toilet.

Potter - A play on 'Hary'.

Fence - A pun on 'offense'.

Ballet - A play on words on 'valet'.

Wiener - A pun on 'winner'. In the US, wiener is another word for 'hot-dog'. Or the male sex organ...
